Complaints Procedure

Bengali Performing Arts (BPA) is a voluntary registered Scottish charity. It has strong internal audit and assessment procedures, and all interested individuals are welcome to raise their concern at the Annual General Meeting, usually held in April/May every year.
BPA welcomes service users’ concerns/complaints and has its own internal procedure to address the issues of concern/complaints for a positive outcome. 

The following are the procedures in place, as ratified by the management committee.:
If an issue cannot wait until the next AGM or if there is urgency, an individual or a group of individuals may complain formally in writing to the General Secretary of BPA with the sender’s name and address. The complaint should be sent to the General Secretary, Bengali Performing Arts. 50 Ailsa Drive, Giffnock, G46 6RJ.

The Gen Secretary shall endeavour to respond to the complaint within 6 weeks from the date of receipt. If an individual is dissatisfied with the Gen Secretary’s response, he/she may write to the Trustees of BPA, clearly citing what their continuing concern is. The Trustees shall aim to respond within 12 weeks from the date of receipt. 

BPA shall not reply to any anonymous/unsigned correspondence, and will consider them to be hate mail. BPA shall communicate the same to local funding authorities concerned that its committee shall not feel obliged to respond to any anonymous calls or concerns.
